Hinges for Xterra hatch door

Re-inforced hinges for hatch door.

Over time your hinges may deform, as shown in the photos. The OEM thin metal twists, eventually causing the balljoint to come out of the socket. 

Ignoring the problem will cause the door to come crashing down, strut only on one side cannot control the 60lb door.

Used Nissan OEM brackets, never bent in the past, are welded to ¼ inch thick stainless steel flat bar. The resulting assembly is sanded and painted before shipping. Stainless steel is 2-4 times stronger than regular steel, and here it is double the thickness of original metal too.

Powder coating is available but my own did well for 3 years just by being painted once.
